16 ton multi-media filterIt is the process of using one or several filter media to pass water with high turbidity through a certain thickness of granular or non granular materials under a certain pressure, effectively removing suspended impurities and clarifying water. Commonly used filter media include quartz sand, anthracite, manganese sand, etc., mainly used for water treatment to remove turbidity, soften water, and pre-treatment of pure water. The effluent turbidity can reach below 3 degrees.
The multi-media filter material inside the filter is high-quality homogeneous gravel, quartz sand, magnetite, anthracite and other filter materials
Advantages of a 16 ton multi-media filter:
Multi media filter (filter bed), which uses two or more media as the filter layer, is used in industrial circulating water treatment systems to remove impurities, adsorbed oil, etc. in sewage, so that the water quality meets the requirements of recycling. The function of filtration is mainly to remove suspended or colloidal impurities in water, especially to effectively remove small particles and bacteria that cannot be removed by precipitation technology. BOD5 and COD also have a certain degree of removal effect.

Composition of 16 ton multi-media filter:
The multi-media filter materials in the filter are high-quality uniformly sized gravel, quartz sand, magnetite, anthracite and other filter materials. These filter materials are scientifically and orderly distributed in the filter tank according to their specific gravity and particle size. For example, anthracite with small specific gravity and slightly larger particle size is placed at the top of the filter bed, quartz sand with moderate specific gravity and smaller particle size is placed in the middle layer of the filter bed, and gravel with large specific gravity and larger particle size is placed at the bottom layer of the filter bed. This ratio ensures that the filter will not produce chaotic layers during backwashing, thereby ensuring the retention capacity of the filter material.
